Ian’s Shoes is all about comfort and style in equal measures, and that philosophy hasn’t changed since they first opened their doors in 1987. Ian’s Shoes is an Australian-owned, family-run business who specialise in women’s orthotic shoes, providing expert advice and helping women finding the perfect fit.
Ian’s Shoes logo was dated and had a therapeutic look and feel, they were also known for older women’s shoes. Although the brand has valuable clients, great service and quality products the brand wanted to appeal to a younger market without alienating the loyal customers.
The key was to provide a brand strategy that didn’t deter the loyal customer base but also instilled a sense of modernism that would appeal to a younger market and capture the industry.
DesignLabs first step was to run a brand survey which was an accurate investigation of the brand’s current position in its market compared to its competitors, and a review of its performance. It helped us regulate the strength of it’s brand together with its weaknesses and opportunities for improvement and new business development.
We delivered a brand that fulfilled all the criteria that the client had wanted with their logo. We found the right balance between pure simplicity, femininity with a unforgettable impact.
